This Is Where You People Are Getting Silly

First off I know there are a lot of problems I could write about right now. I've been wanting to do a blogpost about team politics and the wealth that really makes the decisions in politics. I will probably write it eventually but not today. This post is about this statement I've been seeing lately on all of my social media accounts. "White Privilege" or the more expansive one, "White Male Privilege". I understand, like, and respect Progressive thinking but this is where they are getting just silly. I read a quote today where they said, "Talking about your white privilege is realizing you will never know what it's like to live like someone else. It' not an attack on what you have." That is disingenuous at best. It's the same thinking as someone saying that you can't comment on children or parenting if you don't have a child. It's just bad logic. It also is meant to be an attack or a guilt trip on specific people for some...

The Free Market Economy is a Joke

I know many "team player" Republicans will always through out the word "free market" when it comes to economic issues. The theory, which made since before corporations, when everything was owned by individuals, is that the "free market" would sort it out. Meaning if you ran a bad business then people wouldn't use your business and you would then go out of business. I think corporations were a big part of the decline of what a "free market" does for businesses. When its shareholders & board of directors and CEO's there isn't the same ownership of said businesses. There are loopholes, bankruptcies where they can clear their debt, corporate welfare laws and tax break "incentives" for corporations. None of those things existed ...

Comparing Trump to A German President, Not Hitler But the Kaiser

By Nick Babel The easy comparison made about Donald Trump is one to the infamous Adolph Hitler. While there certainly is some similarities, i.e. populist rhetoric, over the top goofy appearance, a better comparison can be made to the man that forced Germany into the Great War, WWI. That man was Kaiser Wilhelm II and he was a man whose inferiority complex led to millions of deaths. Kaiser Wilhelm has been historically described as “ Bombastic and impetuous, he sometimes made tactless pronouncements on sensitive topics without consulting his ministers.” Now there was no Twitter back in Wilhelm's day but this seems like an apt description for the current leader of the “free world” Donald Trump. Both Wilhelm and Trump suffer/suffered from a massive inferiority complex. For Wilhelm there were several factors for this complex. Wilhelm was born to parents Prince Frederick William of Prussia (the future Frederick III) and his wife, Victoria, Princess Royal, the eldes...
