The Decline of Western Politics

Yes, I know politics can be a boring subject but it is an election year and seeing all of the bullshit has me really thinking about our broken system. It is to big of a mess to point towards one thing and say, "fix that, and you fix the problem". That is why I've decided to put some fuel back into this blog and I'm going to start a series of entries on political issues that I see and what I think possible solutions to fix these problems might be.

The main thing I have to make clear is that to fix these problems you would have to make major fundamental changes to our political system. Do I think that it is likely that our government would make these sweeping changes? No, because people who have power and money do not freely go about making reforms that would take away their money and their power. So basically these posts will be a 'daydream' if you will.

I really think that when people talk about this kind of stuff they think in the boundaries of what the system is currently like, and I will not be doing that. So I hope you enjoy reading these ideas and feel free to chime in if you think the ideas I have are good or if you think I'm full of shit, or somewhere in between.

I will deliver that first post tomorrow on the topic of "Why the Two Party System Doesn't Work, and How We Can Fix It" So I'll post that tomorrow and I look forward to hearing from you.

First off I know there are a lot of problems I could write about right now. I've been wanting to do a blogpost about team politics and the wealth that really makes the decisions in politics. The Childishness of a Two Party System

Sometimes I think about what the distant future will be like and I picture a teenager taking 9th grade history asking his teacher the following  question about this time in our history. Comparing Trump to A German President, Not Hitler But the Kaiser

By Nick Babel The easy comparison made about Donald Trump is one to the infamous Adolph Hitler. While there certainly is some similarities, i.e. populist rhetoric, over the top goofy appearance, a better comparison can be made to the man that forced Germany into the Great War, WWI.
